FB

I deactivated my facebook account.  I decided I needed a break from my addiction.  I was spending way too much time 'catching up' on everyone else's lives via FB.  I think this will be a good change.

Summertime

I haven't been doing a good job at updating my blog.  I have had time since I am currently working part-time (with hopes that is pick up soon), but haven't felt like writing.  Here are some of the fun things that have happened to me over the past month:



1) celebrating my birthday with my family



2) having a paper airplane birthday race

5) bowling with friends

6) sushi tasting at a few new places

7) pool-time

8 ) cabin trip near Payson, AZ (the weather was amazing)

9) quad-ing

10) fall frenzy (multi-band concert in the park with highlights: STP, Primus, Sublime, and Weezer)

Camelback

It was a classic day at Camelback this morning.  The weather was beautiful with the overcast morning.  The most entertaining part of the hike was this lady wearing a bikini and doing yoga at the top.

National Dance Day

I celebrated National Dance Day by dancing at a dance party at Sweet Cakes.  It was a blast!!

Lake Powell

I went to Wahweap marina at Lake Powell over the weekend.  The scenery was beautiful.  The first night I went to take a snap shot of the sunset and my camera battery was dead.  Sad moment.  Luckily, the weather made up for it: overcast but warm!  I applied layers of sunblock.  I went with friends and stayed on a houseboat.  We did some wakeboarding and played on the wave runners.  It was nice to get away from the Phoenix heat.

San Diego

My roommate and I were invited to go to San Diego for the weekend.  It was amazing!  Jenna's friend, Zach, definitely took care of us while we were there.  We stayed at L'Auberge in Del Mar.  Del Mar is a quaint part of San Diego right off the beach.  We went to the beach, laid by the pool, received outstanding massages, fabulous foods, enjoyed the shops, and best of all the gorgeous weather!

After much anticipation, my allergy results are here….

About 9 weeks ago, I started the gluten/dairy free diet to see how I would feel. Initially I felt like crap, then started to gradually improve. I finally decided that I needed to go in for testing to see if all these changes were even necessary. After waiting for 2 weeks, I received a faxed copy of my results. I nervously read through them and found that I was allergic to quite a few things. However, most of them are in the lower allergy class. Plus, there could be false positives/negatives. And this was not a comprehensive allergy screening. I am sure there are other things that I am allergic to, but not sure if I can handle any more changes right now. For now I am going to try staying away from wheat, corn, potatoes, carrots, tomatoes, apples, oranges, and peanuts. I am thrilled to not be allergic to dairy. I am going to have frozen yogurt tonight. Yum!
