Because I have nothing better to do - I blog!

I officially graduated from PA school Aug 8, 2009.  I spent a great weekend with my family here in AZ.  We enjoyed plenty of swimming, eating, games, and talking.  Mom planned a fun "Family Share" night where we participated in talents (those of us who have any) and watched growing up videos.  Thanks for the fabulous weekend!

It's always sad when the party ends.  Now it is on to studying for boards, applying for licensure, and obtaining a job.

Welcome to Gilbert

We warned you it was going to be HOT down here.  If you didn't listen before,                                                          BEWARE IT'S HOT: come prepared to face dehydration headaches,                                                                                  overall fatigue, heat stroke... minor concerns.

You start to sweat once you leave the house, sort of cool off while driving moderate distances; however, until the a/c fully kicks in, you start to have back sweat and face sweat.  But those are minor details. You finally make it home, start dreaming of the nice cool swim after we BBQ.  Mary Ann and JP slave away to meet our growling tummies needs. We ravishly dispose of the divine choices of fresh fruit and hot juicy burgers. Mmmm...  Now time for that refreshing evening swim. The dad's are excited and get out there with the kiddos. And phew, the waters a chilly 94 degrees. Almost, but not quite, refreshing. Closer to the right temperature for a hot tub, but it's just the pool. The kids didn't seem to mind...

Osky went diving with his dad in search for treasures.

He also dared the canon ball jump off the big rock.

Another comical dialogue from Ian:

Voice in the background "Ring, riiinnng, ring."

Ian answers: "Granma, granma." He smiles. "Play trucks." "Granma."  More smiles as he points to the dead cell phone, "Granma. Play trucks."

Family adventure begins

As much as I love my nieces and nephews, I'm reminded why I am always on the "lookout" of what might happen next.  I was watching Ian while at the pool.  He enjoyed kicking in the water and then splashes the water that was on the tiling outside of the pool..  Once he was done it was "towel, towel, dry."  I wrap him up and start carrying him inside. Halfway through the door I feel rather wet. First thought, I hope this water diaper works. Second thought, I'm sure it does else why would we be using it. Third thought as we reach the bathroom, take off his diaper, an outpouring of more fluid and I'm now soaking wet. I think Ian just peed on me. Fourth thought, I guess that means I need to take a shower.

Pool water or pee??  Still to be investigated and determined.  What are your thoughts?

Family adventure begins

I'm looking forward for the rest of the family to get here soon...  Adventures are just beginning.

GradAnnouncement

Dear Family and Friends,

The past 26 months have flown by, although there were many, many long days between. It has been a wonderful, challenging experience to complete graduate school. I am excited to be finishing school up in the next few days and anticipating what lies ahead. I appreciate the support, prayers, and friendship during these many months. I am especially grateful for those who had to put up with my crazy moods, late night study sessions, and numerous "stupid" questions. I am indebted to those who made me dinners, gave me neck rubs, and listened to me vent.

It has been quite the journey.

Love, Sarah

God Almighty has brought me;
The Love of Family has supported me;
The joy of friendship has uplifted me, and
With the guidance given by the Holy Spirit;
I have arrived!

As a reward to completing our graduate program, the Class Society invited us to enjoy an evening at F1 Raceway!!!  It was pretty dang awesome.  We missed those classmates that were unable to make it.

summa time

has been busy! I haven't been good at updating my blog. A few pictures from the last month or so...

Precious kisses from my cute nephews!

Fourth of July in the Country! Let me tell you, it was so nice to get out of the valley's heat.

Rachel & Marisha
Rachel
JP
Since Mary Ann and boys were out of town, I invited JP and Rachel over for dinner one night. We had a great time getting to know Marisha, Rachel's Litter Sister, and playing Wii. Rachel was quite the rockstar at bowling, but not so much at boxing. I can't say I was any better. JP and I did have a few good games of tennis, though. I was quite sore for a few days afterwards. Apparently I'm way out of shape.

Other updates:
I moved from this disaster
packing
to this place
my room
My roommates are great! It's nice to have someone around to chat with. We're all addicted to "The Bachelorette." Love Ed! Can't wait for the season finale tomorrow.

I have four more days of my clinical rotations. Graduation is August 8. Wow, these past 26 months have flown by, although, they've been really long. I'm still deciding where I want to live, but I am in favor of staying here in AZ. As from pictures above, I'm not looking forward to packing and moving again. I'm looking for a job. Stressing about taking the PANCE (boards) August 31. Many prayers will be needed. Trying to motivated to study. Finding many other enjoyable activities to do besides studying like having friends/family over for dinner, making chocolate fondue, watching Harry Potter movies, sleeping, going out for sushi, helping at an inner city health fair, and even cleaning. I'm desperately trying to do anything and everything before studying. Sad. I know.

I'm tired of the heat. It's exhausting and gives me way too many headaches. I hope my family doesn't hate me when they come to visit soon. Be prepared to drink LOTS of water, vegging at the rental house, and watching movies. It will probably be too hot to do anything else. I'm stoked to have a family reunion, though. It will be great being together. Hope there are some cool monsoon thunderstorms while they are here. Awesome!

I'm sure many other things have happened, but that's all I can think of right now.
